Quick guide to Harvard referencing

Categories: Citing & referencing

The Library has produced a Quick guide to Harvard style of referencing. It is based on the existing Library guide with some minor additions and amendments (e.g. revised rules for journals, newspapers and ebooks).

Not all sources are covered in this quick guide.  Where you need information on other sources, you should consult the original full length Citing and referencing guide.

The quick guide is intended as an interim measure. We will be producing a completely revised guide for the academic year 2010/11. The revised edition will have comprehensive coverage of information sources.  We welcome feedback on the interim quick guide.

A final reminder for lecturers who still wish to order in some core texts for Semester 1 business modules. Although any orders you send in now won’t be on the shelves for the beginning of semester, the average 6-week turnaround time means it may still be possible to get short loan items on the shelves by the end of October.

If you still want to order, please do so without delay using our online form.
